ABOUT
Conveqs Oy provides software solutions for intelligent traffic systems. Our mission is to bring cutting edge sensor technology together with the latest software, traffic simulation and artificial intelligence in order to create provide state-of-art traffic management and planning tools.
Our deep knowledge on traffic related challenges including congestion, emissions, safety, and multifaceted public and private interest groups is combined with decades of combined expertise in the software and hardware development. This puts us in a unique position bringing real life solutions to traffic management.
All members of our seasoned team have long experience in traffic engineering and software development in addition to strong academic background. The team has worked together both in academia and private sector in Scandinavia, UK and US.
OUR TEAM
KARI KOSKINEN, CEO
Kari has 20+ years of expertise in the field of transportation engineering, AI, product development and decades of hands on software development experience. As a former student and researcher of the Helsinki University of Technology, now Aalto University, he studied algorithms, traffic safety, simulation and software development. As part of his Master’s thesis he developed a Microscopic Simulator for Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) System, an automated public transport solution. Kari also studied at the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm), providing him with a unique perspective on the European Union’s leading-edge approach to transportation and mobility. In addition to the research and software development work completed in Helsinki and Stockholm Kari’s expertise also includes applying soft computing and AI traffic control to live traffic environments in Finland, Sweden, Ireland and the U.S.
MICHAEL RYCHLIK, CTO
Michael holds a B.Sc. degree in physics from the university of Essex. He has made a long career in different fields of engineering including embedded systems(GEC, Cossor electronics), software development (Zuken), telecommunications (Nokia, Nortel) and ITS (Peek Traffic, Swarco). The last 10 years Michael has been working in leading role with intelligent traffic solutions in Swarco (Omniview) and RSM. Michael’s interests include software development, new sensor technologies, embedded systems and software/hardware interfaces.
